Nightwish je dobio nagradu EMMA GAALA za metal album 2012. godine, za album Imaginaerum. U konkurenciji su bili: Wintersun s albumom "Time", Mokoma i album "180 astetta", Stam1na s albumom "Nocebo" i Terveet Kädet s albumom "Musta hetki".
